I have very sensitive skin. Over the years, I have tried every kind of product on the market to cleanse my face. I even used regular soap. Almost every type of cleanser would break out my face. I’m not talking about little pimples. I’m talking about the huge ugly ones that take forever to turn into a head.

I was pretty much hopeless, until a relative told me about something she invented. She is an esthetician that specializes in hair removal. She discovered that if you mix a little lemon juice with plain white sugar, you make the perfect scrub. I decided to try this out.

I get a small ramekin and put some coarse white sugar in it. Next, I take a slice of lemon and squeeze it into the ramekin. I make a paste with the mixture. You don’t want to put too much lemon juice in there or it will get too runny. That is your cleanser. I recommend using the cleanser in a shower as it makes a mess. The sugar mixture can get stuck behind your ears or under your neck. I know this sounds a bit ridiculous, but it has happened to me on several occasions.

To use the scrub apply it all over your face and neck avoiding the delicate eye area. Rub the mixture around using your fingertips. When done, rinse off, apply your moisturizer. I use this 2 times a day. It only dried out my skin once and that was because I had moved to an area that heavily chlorinates their water. There you have it. The cheapest and the best way I know to clean your face. My skin feels very soft and smooth. You can also use this on your body as an exfoliator.
