Leg exercises are very important for people who desire to look attractive, have stronger legs, be generally fit and healthy or seek to lose weight in the thighs. All in all, proper leg exercise at home will give you a ton of benefits but top among them are upright physique and stronger muscles. There are a variety of leg exercises you can do from the comfort of your home that target all the muscles of the leg, whatever your reason to choose to do leg exercises, there are exercises designed to work just for you. Sometimes a combination of several leg exercises work best but you have to know what your end result should and what happens when you take particular leg exercises.

There are many leg exercises that you can do easily at home. There are three top exercises that are universally focused on toning the entire leg and are suitable for every use, whether to lose weight, tone the hips, firm the butt, strengthen the calves, get higher sprinting and jumping power – you name them.

The first exercise is the hip abduction exercise. You can do this by lying facing up on a flat ground, your head over your right arm. Keep the leg straight and raise it up from the floor slowly without bending the knee.

Raise the leg to a 45 degrees angle and hold it there for 30 seconds before beginning a slow descend. The two other simple exercises to do at home are the hip flexing exercise that is done while holding lightweights on your hands then lowering the legs to the floor, and the squats. Squats are done with feet parallel to the floor, shoulders width apart and sometimes holding dumbbells then slowly lowering the body towards the floor, the chest up remaining upright. The knees should be in line with the toes while descending and ascending.
